Absolut Vodka

‘Martini 101’

Inspired by the design of Aesop’s downtown Los Angeles shopfront crafted entirely from reclaimed tubing, we built a backdrop of connecting cardboard tubing. The natural, earthy tones of the cardboard added warmth and a tactile quality, echoing sustainable design principles and creating a subtle nod to the raw simplicity of recycled materials.

For a touch of elegance and contrast, we paired the cardboard tubing with a Calcutta marble tabletop. Its smooth, polished surface, provided a sophisticated counterpoint to the rough texture of the cardboard, balancing rugged with refined, creating a visually striking harmony that felt both contemporary and timeless.

‘Warhol birthday’

When Absolut Vodka, together with The Andy Warhol Foundation for the Visual Arts, launched a limited edition bottle to honour the legacy and collaboration between two historic icons, we were asked to create a fictional birthday greeting for Andy Warhol, inspired by the global campaign.

With the foundation’s approval, we used one of Warhol’s cake illustrations from the satirical cookbook Wild Raspberries (1959). We recreated the illustration in Jello and set the entire scene on a moving LED screen.

‘From breakfast to Dinner’

The ‘From Breakfast to Dinner’ visual concept was crafted to highlight the versatility of rice and bulgur, illustrating how these grains can transform dishes across every meal of the day. The sets featured a dynamic layout that progressed from morning to evening, showing rice and bulgur as key ingredients in an array of inspired dishes.

‘Cherry day’

Nothing says 1980s so bodly, and unapologetically, like candied sour marasca cherries,  with their intense, glossy red hue, reminiscent of the decade’s obsession with indulgent, eye-catching treats. Complete with red nail polish, a quintessential 80s accessory symbolizing glamour, rebellion, and flair.

Each set was carefully composed to reflect the industry’s commitment to sustainability in ways that felt authentic and nuanced. Using both obvious and subtle symbolism, we highlighted solutions as well as pitfalls to illustrate the progress made so far. We also replaced the magazine's logo with a handmade version crafted from masking tape.

Akt quarterly

Cover story

We were asked to create the sets for the cover story of Akt quarterly. The brief was to capture the complexity of sustainable practices in film, TV, and theater while steering clear of any visual clichés. It challenged us to convey the multi-dimensional nature of sustainability in a way that felt fresh and sophisticated, avoiding the usual visual tropes commonly associated with eco-friendly themes.

Hemlagat magazine

Cover story

For the cover story on Mathias Dahlgren, we designed a series of visually striking still lifes inspired by Irving Penn's photography. Each set was carefully composed of a different Dahlgren recipe, with ingredients and textures thoughtfully arranged to highlight the artistry of his culinary creations. The props were meticulously selected to complement the character of each dish.

Malibu

‘Galentines Day’

When Malibu asked us to create a mood for their social campaign celebrating Galentine’s day, we came to set with a bouquet of plastic pink roses, vintage costume jewelry for a kitschy glam vibe, overlapping fluffy rugs in varying tones of blush-to-borderline-neon-pink and glaringly green slippers. We popped some popcorn. The result was a perfectly imperfect, lighthearted atmosphere that felt as fun and spirited as Galentine’s Day itself.

Absolut Vodka

‘Watermelon Jello’

We created a perfectly imperfect, hand-painted pink backdrop, that added depth and personality to the set. We paired the backdrop with playful, candy-colored medley of props in shades of bubblegum pink and minty green, evoking a sweet, nostalgic charm. Arranged thoughtfully across the set were homemade watermelon vodka jellies, adding a juicy, playful element to the composition. The result was whimsical, yet polished.

Absolut Vodka

‘Winter drinks’

We created a wintery set using whimsical and striking contrasts. A giant, hand-folded pink paper bloom served as an oversized backdrop, while fluffy, faux snow was spread across the scene, creating a frosty, dreamy effect. To complete the set, we added homemade, candy-striped meringues, their pastel pink and white swirls mimicking the colour of the paper bloom and adding a playful touch. The result was a set that was both enchanting and sophisticated.
